In honour and memory of our Founder, Rita Cashmore, we created the Rita Cashmore Award last year. This award highlights one student who shows real passion, dedication and enthusiasm for dance and their classes at CSD each year.
Our 2023 winner was announced at our show in October to our Grade 3 student, Chloe 
Chloe is a wonderfully talented dancer who puts her all into every class she takes. Chloe is so lovely to teach, she practices at home for shows and exams, and displays so much potential having only started dancing 3 years ago.
Ultimately the award comes down to who we believe Rita Cashmore would choose, and we wholeheartedly believe she would’ve been so impressed with Chloe’s talent and enthusiasm. Thank you Chloe for being a star this year!
